Tonight we visited again after the manager contacted us and encouraged us to try Zios again. It was a Tuesday, which was a great night to stop in. All pizzas and calzones were 1/2 price. We were rather impressed. Very tasty pizza. Great garlic crust. Nice to know that's also honored for delivery and carry out too. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive (refilled drinks without asking, took away empty plates, etc.) It wasn't busy for dine in, but for carry out it seemed steady. I'm glad we went and found a new pizza joint.

I left the "Food Poisoning. Never again." Tip, I wanted to leave that as a full review, but Yelp wants more. So here are the bullet points. My wife and I went here a few weeks ago, around 8 o'clock on a weekend, she ordered shrimp Alfredo, and I had the chicken parmesan. We also ordered some calamari. We got the food home and immediately noticed a strong fishy smell from the calamari, I tried a couple and wasn't too thrilled. My wife picked at her shrimp, while I ate my chicken parm. About halfway through, I noticed my chicken was pretty pink and realized it was practically raw in the center. I spent the rest of my weekend being viciously ill. I'm upset, because other locations seem to do fairly decent, but this has taken me away from the company.

I went there for lunch today and I'd heard that their garlic bread was a nice sweet treat and it sure is! I know I'm getting excited over garlic bread but it's pretty tasty, though a few pieces had burnt edges though it wasn't too hard like most places. I got the beef lasagna, my lunch companion got the veggie lasagna, and another lunch companion got the soup and salad. The salad was a little cheap. They used head lettuce.....Just not what you'd expect from a restaurant that looks like Zio Johno's. The food was good though it came out a little slow. But they were really good about refills and checking on us. So I would definitely consider eating here again.

Pretty sure artichokes are NOT supposed to be brown... Which was the case when we ordered our last pizza from them, dark brown artichokes, AND an undercooked pizza. When they first opened it was an alright place to go, not a great place, but passable. The food was decent, the service was slow, and it was another choice in North Liberty. Now, this is a terrible place, the food is awful, the service is even slower than before, and no one working seems to care at all. I do not know what happened to this place, but I won't be going back. Try pizza plus, or even pizza ranch.

I want to leave a positive feedback but I honestly can't. I went there with my wife. We ordered chase garlic bread and got garlic bread without cheese. When I told the waitress, she said that she was sorry. Waited for 20 minutes to have her return with cheese garlic bread. But when we got our bill we where charged for both garlic bread and they would not fix our bill and forced us to pay for an item we didn't order or even eaten. Waited forever for drinks and food.

Came in to try the place over lunch. Besides our waitress being mildly rude, our food was disgusting and arrived 30 minutes after we ordered. I couldn't eat my sandwich. It was cold, the bread was old and dry. My Fiancé's sandwich was equally as bad and as much as he loves food, could not eat his either. At least the fries were okay. I counted a whopping 3 people in the restaurant when we were here. Will not go back and will not recommend.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
